In the garden today …
a raindrop caught in a passiflora tendril …
a mantis crawling among the weeds, …
and the sun trying to come through the clouds and our neighbour’s almond tree.
We planted out cabbage and lettuce and harvested more late tomatoes, some red and some still green. It will be time to clear all the tomato plants soon but there is still a chance some more will ripen if we get sunshine next week, as forecast.

Very nice :-) The mantis is amazing.
Oh, that first picture is incredible!
There's no way that I can do any planting or anything at all on the veg plot until it dries a little. It's just a sea of mud!
Some beautiful shots here. I love the first one but the mantis is great too. Hope you can enjoy a rest till it dries a little!
now that picture of the raindrop - I wish I'd taken it...
That's a beautiful shot, the first one!. I've been finding lots of mantis these past few weeks too, one of my favorite garden bugs ;-)
I hope the weather improves. I always think a mantis looks like a candidate for a sci-fi film - alien yet intelligent. I think it's the little head and the big eyes. Perhaps I have too much imagination :-)
Spectacular shot of the raindrop. Great photographer!
