The beach was empty / La plage était déserte
The sea was warm and we swam / L’eau était belle et on s’est bagné
and then ate mussels by the beach – with Roquefort sauce for me, saffron sauce for Lo Jardinièr / et puis on a mangé des moules – au Roquefort pour moi, au safran pour Lo Jardinièr.
We’ll garden tomorrow! / On travaillera au jardin demain!

Wow, the beach really was deserted, although I prefer a few folk so that I can people-watch! We were going to the beach today, but it looked rather cloudy towards the coast so changed our minds.

It looks lovely - empty beaches have a special magic. Nothing better than a meal while looking at the sea!
