Kate from Hills and Plains arrived yesterday to start the Languedoc stage of her Voyage of the Vegetable Vagabond, accompanied by Ian and Sylvia of Kitchen Garden in France.There was just time for a visit to the garden before supper.
Kate de Hills and Plains est arrivée hier pour commencer l'étape languedocienne de son Voyage de la Vagabonde des Légumes.Ian et Sylvia de Kitchen Garden in France l'ont accompagné.Il y avait juste le temps pour visiter le jardin avant le dîner.
Today Kate wanted to work so we asked her to plant the leeks she'd brought us from Villereal market when she was staying with Ian.She also helped us plant red cabbages and cauliflowers.And we talked all day about gardening in the Midi and in South Australia!Its great to meet the real Kate and the real Ian whom we know from their blogs.
Aujourd'hui Kate a voulu travailler, donc nous l'avons demander de planter les poireaux qu'elle nous a apporté du marché de Villereal quand elle passait quelques jours avec Ian dans le Perigord.Elle nous a aidé aussi avec la plantation des choux rouges et des choux-fleurs.Et nous avons parlé toute la journée de jardiner dans le Midi et en Sud Australie!
C'est genial de rencontrer la vraie Kate et le vrai Ian qui nous connaissions en ligne sur leurs blogs.

We've escaped from the Welsh mists and settled in the Languedoc where we're learning to garden in a Mediterranean climate.
Chaiselongue plans, plants, harvests and cooks. Lo Jardinièr (the gardener in Occitan) does most of the hard work - and cooks too.
Nous nous sommes enfuis les brumes galloises pour nous installer dans le Languedoc où nous apprenons à jardiner dans un climat méditerranéen.
